March is Reading Month

March is my favorite month! Certainly not because of the late Michigan Winter, but because of March is Reading Month in the schools.

Here I can talk to students about their Art. Yes, we are all artists, we all inspire to create something of value, something that connects us to other souls. I do that with writing, with food, with gardening. Others do that with paint, poetry, mechanics, speaking, music, inventions, apps...the list goes on. 

​

However, all our greatest dreams and gifts are lost on the world without a foundation of purpose. For Christians, that purpose is from God. Our gifts come from Him and we are encouraged to use them for His glory. 

​

With that mindset, I talk to students about the struggles of being an artist, the challenges, and the victories. Our success as a human being can only find it's fruit when we focus our lives on the constant goal of learning and inspiring others. 

​

For students, that might seem a far stretch, but it is not! Students, in their youth and in their dreams are sometimes the only people who can create the beauty the world so greatly needs. 

​

I have a price list that varies based on your school's resources, location from me, and needs. It is more important for me that I meet the students and talk to them about writing and creativity than to make any amount of money. But I can't afford do this for free either ;) So we work together. 

​

With each school visit, the library will receive a full set of my books (a $90 value). Students may also purchase my books at a moderate discount and have them personalized.
